People Should be Lining Up...Oh, Any Minute Now.

Last year, during Wolf Trap's box office opening day, I talked to several ticket buyers who had been in line since 11pm for a 10am on sale, in order to scoop up premium seats for James Taylor and Crosby, Stills & Nash.

This year, I'm anticipating the same sort of excitement for Jackson Browne, David Byrne, and Blondie/Pat Benatar. A big shout out to these people, for you represent the withering backbone, but still a backbone nonetheless of the music industry. Your dedication and your ticket dollars are more crucial now than ever in this fledgling economic state where artists are starting to realize the futility of a label deal and are turning to the road and self-promotion on their website and social networking sites to pay the rent. We greatly appreciate your support and hope you share our sentiments when we say a great season of live performance is in store for our patrons.

Box office opens tomorrow morning at 10am! 50 new shows will be put on sale. As you know, several shows have been on sale since November, so hopefully you picked up your tickets for those already, but take a look at our performance pages for a comprehensive list of additional summer 2009 shows scheduled for tomorrow's on-sale. Tickets can be purchased via the Wolf Trap Box Office located at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts at 1551 Trap Road, Vienna, Virginia; by calling 1 (877) WOLFTRAP; or online at Wolf Trap's website.
We hope to see you in person out at the Filene Center tomorrow morning, but if not, support Wolf Trap and our schedule of artists by buying tickets via our website.

Summer is on its way!

Graham
